Having the Correct Perspective

Your peace, contentment and happiness in life depends upon YOU – specifically your perspective.  Are you a whiner?  Does your ego like it when you play the victim?  Do you fail to accept responsibility?  Eckhart Tolle said, “Your life is not determined by what happens to you, but by how you respond to what happens.”  Pain is inevitable.  It is likely that at a minimum everyone will experience having their heart broken, the death of a mate, child or loved one and the breakdown of their body.  How do you view each obstacle?  Do you see it as an opportunity for spiritual growth?  You are a timeless, formless spiritual being who incarnated to Earth to increase your conscious awareness.  This growth occurs most rapidly when you confront crisis, turmoil and chaos!  The Earth offers the best school for these experiences so expect the Universe to serve up the lessons your soul needs!  There are a couple prime means for developing the correct perspective.  Meditation is an excellent technique for increasing your conscious awareness.  As it increases you gain an eternal perspective and become closer aligned with your soul.  When you enter into meditation ask three fundamental questions:  1. Who am I?  2. What do I want?  and  3. What is the purpose for my life?  Then watch and listen for the Universe to supply the answers.  Another method is to develop an attitude of gratitude.  Practice it every day when you arise.  Gratitude expands your awareness which enables you to overcome your obstacles.  You and the Universe are involved in an ongoing evolutionary process.  When you depart all you will take with you are the changes to your conscious awareness, your soul.  Eckhart Tolle said, “Life always gives you what you need…”  Tough love but the correct perspective.
