The Power of Your Intentions

An intention is like a seed.  Every one of your dreams begin as an intention.  Contained within it is the means and power to fulfill the desire, if you plant the intention into the depths of your mind where it can grow.  It is powerful to clearly know what you want but it is even more powerful to know how to take inspired action to bring the intention to fruition.  Deepak Chopra identifies five steps for seeing your intention through to fulfillment.  First is to list your intentions in order to clarify them.  Amend and review them each day before you meditate.  This makes the intentions fresh in your mind.  Second go into mediation and turn your intentions over to the universe.  Every intention sets energy into motion Gary Zukav said.  In meditation let go of your intentions and fall into the gap becoming one with your True Self.  Third, live in a state of contented awareness.  Accept the present moment as it is; live in the now.  Intentions more easily come to fruition when you live in a state of contentment than in a state of neediness.  Be sensitive to your intuition and open to opportunities and synchronicities as the universe presents them.  Fourth, detach from the outcome.  The universe has its own timing.  You create stress and anxiety when you try to control events so they give you a particular outcome.  Attachment is based on fear and insecurity.  You don’t have the whole picture.  Fifth, take inspired action that is in alignment with your desire but let the universe handle the details.  You are a spirit.  You came from Source Energy and will return to Source Energy so keep things in perspective.  Trust it to provide what is best for the growth of your True Self.  The Upanishads said, “You are what your deepest desire is.  As your desire is, so is your intention.  As you intention is, so is your will.  As your will is, so is your deed.  As your deed is, so is your destiny.”
